About this register
This register contains a record of exclusive dealing notifications lodged with the ACCC since 2000.
Exclusive dealing occurs when one business trading with another business puts conditions on the other’s freedom to choose who it does business with, what business it does, and where it does business. It is only illegal when it substantially lessens competition.
A notification provides protection from legal action for exclusive dealing.
We assess exclusive dealing notifications to ensure the proposed conduct doesn't substantially lessen competition and, if it does, that the proposed conduct is likely to result in a net public benefit.
