Summary
Of the Fixed Line Services Access Determinations Nos. 1 to 7 of 2019, only the following two remain in force:
- Final Access Determination No. 3 of 2019 (FOAS), and
- Final Access Determination No. 4 of 2019 (FTAS).
On 24 June 2024, the ACCC extended the existing final access determinations (FAD) for the fixed originating access service (FOAS) and fixed terminating access service (FTAS). The ACCC extended these FADs as it was not in position to make new FADs for these services prior to their expiry on 30 June 2024.
These FADs are extended to expire on the date immediately before the day on which a new FAD comes into force. Information on the ACCC’s inquiry into making new FADs for these services can be found on: Voice interconnection services FAD inquiry - 2024.
Fixed line services FADs no longer in force
On 16 December 2024, the ACCC made new FADs for the resale fixed line services, which replaced the:
- Final Access Determination No. 2 of 2019 (LCS)
- Final Access Determination No. 6 of 2019 (WLR)
- Final Access Determination No. 7 of 2019 (WADSL)
The new resale fixed line final access determinations are available here: Final Access Determinations No. 2-4 of 2024 for the Resale Fixed Line Services.
In March 2024, the ACCC decided not to extend the declaration of the unconditioned local loop service (ULLS) and line sharing service (LSS). Therefore, the FADs for these services (Nos. 1 and 5 of 2019) were taken to be revoked on and from 1 July 2024.
Determination
On 1 November 2019, the ACCC released its final decision on the FADs for the seven declared fixed line services. These FADs replace the previous FADs for the fixed line services (Final Access Determination Nos. 2 to 8 of 2015 for Fixed Line Services).
Information on the ACCC’s inquiry into making these new access determinations for these services can be found on the Fixed line services FAD inquiry 2018 page.
On 23 December 2022, the ACCC decided to make minor variations to the Final Access Determination Nos. 1 to 7 for Fixed Line Services, to reflect the Telstra corporate restructure.
