Description of Conduct
On 12 January 2017, Homemakers South Limited (Homemakers) applied to revoke its existing authorisation A91284 and to substitute this with a new authorisation A91570 to collectively bargain on behalf of its member retailers with suppliers for the supply of furniture, bedding and related stock, advertising and marketing services, and any related commercial arrangements for a period of 10 years.
On 27 March 2017 the ACCC issued a draft determination proposing to grant authorisation to the proposed collective bargaining arrangements for 10 years. No submissions were received commenting on the draft determination.
On 3 May 2017 the ACCC issued a final determination granting authorisation to the collective bargaining arrangements for 10 years until 25 May 2027.
