Proton Cars Australia Pty Limited - s.87B undertaking

Proton Cars Australia Pty Limited has provided a section 87B undertaking to the ACCC in respect of the supply of new vehicle jacks that did not comply with the mandatory safety standard. The company has undertaken to identify all Proton owners, provide owners with replacement warning labels and safe usage instructions, implement a recall of non-compliant jacks, publish a recall notice in a major daily newspaper, post a safety warning notice on its website for a period of 30 days, issue a service bulletin to all Proton authorised dealers and to implement a Trade Practices Corporate Compliance Program and to implement a Trade Practices Corporate Compliance Program.
