On 15 January 2024, the Hon, Chris Bowen MP, Minister for Climate Change and Energy (the Minister), granted to Woodside Energy (Bass Strait) Pty Ltd (Woodside) a conditional Ministerial exemption (the Exemption) pursuant to sections 61, 63 and 65 of the Competition and Consumer (Gas Market Code) Regulations 2023 (the Code). The Exemption relates to the price rules in Division 2 of Part 4 of the Code.
The Minister granted the Exemption in response to an application from Woodside.
The exemption period commenced on 15 January 2024 and ends on 1 October 2033.
