Exemption for PayPal Australia Pty Ltd

On 21 September 2023, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) granted an exemption under section 56GD of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), to PayPal Australia Pty Ltd (PayPal) in relation to its obligations under the CDR Rules to provide multiple account selection functionality for business accounts which are bundled with its Enterprise View interface, and its obligations under the CDR Rules to share consumer data for closed accounts that were previously bundled with its Enterprise View interface until 21 September 2028. Impacted account holders are still able to share data through other methods. The ACCC granted the exemption in response to an application by PayPal.
