Exemption for Heritage and People’s Choice Limited

On 14 December 2023, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) granted a time-limited, conditional exemption under section 56GD of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) to Heritage and People’s Choice Limited (HPCL) deferring certain obligations (as specified in the exemption instrument) in respect of the cohort of consumers that have products with both the Heritage Bank and People’s Choice brands, but only meet the CDR consumer eligibility criteria with respect to one of those brands until 30 April 2026. The ACCC granted the exemption in response to an application from HPCL.
