Summary

On 19 June 2023, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) granted an exemption under section 56GD of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) to Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Limited (ANZ) deferring its obligations to share consumer data in respect of its asset finance products until 1 June 2028. The ACCC granted the exemption in response to an application from ANZ.

The ACCC also revoked clauses 2.b. and 4 of the exemption granted under section 56GD of the Act to ANZ on 2 June 2022.
