Exemption for Alex Bank Pty Ltd

On 16 November 2023, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) granted an exemption under section 56GD of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) (the Act) to Alex Bank deferring certain consumer data sharing obligations under the CDR Rules (as specified in the exemption instrument) until 31 December 2024. The ACCC granted the exemption in response to an application from Alex Bank.

The ACCC also revoked the exemption granted under section 56GD of the Act to Alex Bank on 17 November 2022.
