On 11 December 2020, the Tasmanian Farmers and Graziers Association (TFGA) lodged a collective bargaining notification on behalf of itself, the TFGA Pyrethrum Committee and current and future Tasmanian pyrethrum growers to collectively bargain terms and conditions (including price) for the supply of pyrethrum to pyrethrum processor, Botanical Resources Australia.
The notified conduct did not include a collective boycott.
TFGA requested the notification last for a period of 10 years.
On 10 February 2021 the ACCC did not to object to the notification and decided to allow it to stand for 10 years. The legal protection provided by the notification commenced on 25 December 2020 and it will remain in force until 10 December 2030, unless it is withdrawn or revoked.
