The Independent Vending Machine Operators Association (Australia) Incorporated (IVMOA) lodged a collective bargaining notification with the ACCC on 30 January 2020 to allow it to negotiate on behalf of its current and future members with suppliers of goods to be sold through Unattended Retail Points such as Vending Machines.
On 7 April 2020 the ACCC decided not to object to the notification. The legal protection provided by the notification commenced on 13 February 2020 and it will remain in force until 30 January 2026, unless it is withdrawn or revoked.
