The Australian Vending Buying Association (AVBA) lodged a collective bargaining notification with the ACCC on 8 June 2021 to allow it and its current and future members to collectively negotiate with current and future suppliers of goods to be sold through unattended retail points, such as vending machines. Current suppliers are listed in Appendix B.
On 8 July 2021 the ACCC decided not to object to the notification. The legal protection provided by the notification commenced on 23 June 2021 and will remain in force until 23 June 2027, unless it is withdrawn or revoked.
