Steeline Members Pty Ltd

Summary

On 25 June 2020, Steeline Members Pty Ltd (Steeline) applied for authorisation on behalf of itself and its current and future members for two types of conduct:

(a)     joint advertising and selling activities, intended to be carried out in future by Steeline members (including the operation of an online store) and

(b)     collective bargaining conduct, which involves Steeline negotiating and entering into supply arrangements regarding the terms of supply of various products to its members, including steel sheet and coil.

Steeline seeks authorisation for 5 years.

Steeline has also applied for interim authorisation to allow it to engage in the conduct prior to the ACCC’s final determination in relation to the substantive application for authorisation. Steeline requests a decision on interim authorisation be made at the time that the ACCC issues a draft determination.

Further detail is contained in the application for authorisation, linked below.

The ACCC is currently seeking submissions on the application for authorisation and the application for interim authorisation. If you would like to make a submission, please do so by 24 July 2020. Submissions should be emailed to adjudication@accc.gov.au.
