National Pharmaceutical Services Association (NPSA)


On 27 March 2020, the National Pharmaceutical Services Association (NPSA) lodged an application for authorisation on behalf of itself, its members and CSO Distributors to coordinate to stabilise the supply chain for medicines and pharmacy products, which is currently disrupted as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The NPSA seeks authorisation to discuss, enter arrangements or engage in conduct for the purpose of facilitating the supply of, and access to, medicines and pharmacy products. The NPSA requested interim authorisation for this conduct on an urgent basis so that the NPSA and its members can start working together to address the ongoing pressure on supply chains.

On 31 March, the ACCC granted interim authorisation.

The ACCC invites submissions in relation to the application for authorisation by 23 April 2020. For further information about the application, and how to provide a submission to the ACCC, please refer to the links below.
