Description of Conduct
On 7 December 2016, Etihad Airways PJSC (Etihad) and Air Serbia A.D. (Air Serbia) lodged an application for authorisation of an international airline alliance. The applicants seek authorisation for a Commercial Cooperation Agreement to allow for coordination of pricing, scheduling and marketing activities and other co-operative activities.
On 15 February 2017, the ACCC issued a draft determination proposing to grant authorisation for ten years. The ACCC also granted interim authorisation to enable Etihad and Air Serbia to commence joint activities under the Co-operation Agreement.
On 5 April 2017, the ACCC issued a final determination granting authorisation to Etihad and Air Serbia for ten years.
