Description of Conduct
Cairns Regional Council, Douglas Shire Council and Mareeba Shire Council (the Councils) seek authorisation to conduct a joint procurement process for waste collection services.services.
On 26 July 2016, the ACCC granted interim authorisation to allow the Councils to commence the procurement process.
On 31 October 2016, the ACCC issued a draft determination proposing to grant authorisation to the Councils for 12 years.
On 9 December 2016, the ACCC issued a determination granting authorisation to the Councils until 31 December 2028.
