Description of Conduct
On 25 May 2021, the Australian Directors’ Guild (ADG) lodged an application on behalf of itself and its current and future members, seeking authorisation for 10 years to collectively negotiate and to create new contracts or arrangements with current and future members of Screen Producers Australia (SPA) that contain model terms of engagement for feature film, television series, and television serials, and give effect to these new contracts or arrangements (the Proposed Conduct).
Substantially similar conduct has previously been authorised. This authorisation expired on 4 September 2020.
On 29 September 2021, the ACCC issued a determination granting authorisation to the ADG and its current and future members to engage in the Proposed Conduct until 21 October 2031.
