Description of Conduct
On 6 December 2023, the Australian Brick & Blocklaying Training Foundation Ltd applied on behalf of itself, Think Brick Australia and the Concrete Masonry Association of Australia and their members for revocation of their current authorisation and substitution with a new authorisation to continue to apply a levy on the sale of clay bricks and concrete masonry in order to fund programs to address the skill shortage in bricklaying.
Authorisation was sought for a period of 10 years.
On 29 February 2024, the ACCC issued a draft determination proposing to grant authorisation.
On 11 April 2024, the ACCC issued a final determination granting authorisation for a period of 10 years, until 11 April 2034.
