On 22 July 2022, the ACCC published a Guidance Paper for ARTC’s Interstate network access undertaking 2023. The current undertaking is due to expire on 30 June 2023. This paper is intended to provide information to ARTC and its users that will assist in the development of a proposed undertaking.
The ACCC will be required to assess, and consider whether or not to accept, the next undertaking under section 44ZZA of the CCA, considering several matters, including the objects of Part IIIA (section 44AA), specific pricing principles (section 44ZZCA) and any other matter the ACCC considers relevant.
Background
The ACCC has been considering the regulatory framework for ARTC's Interstate network.
On 25 August 2021, the ACCC published an Issues Paper seeking stakeholder views on the regulatory framework. Submissions on the Issues Paper closed on 22 October 2021.
