The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission has produced a series of State- and Territory-specific reports on the work it undertakes.

"The ACCC is an agency with strong representation around Australia, with offices in each State/Territory capital and also Tamworth and Townsville", ACCC Chairman, Professor Allan Fels, said today. "It undertakes major roles in trade practices law and consumer protection.

"The reports focus, on a State/Territory basis, the type of information available in the ACCC's Annual Report.

"Each ACCC Working In highlights the work undertaken by the particular regional offices and explains the services and liaison the ACCC undertakes in each State or Territory.

"Business, consumers and students will find the booklets provide a valuable insight into the ACCC's work.

"Each one examines cases conducted by the ACCC's State/Territory office, consumer affairs activities, assistance to small business, product safety issues and the preparation for the New Tax System.

"The booklets are available, free of charge, from the individual State/Territory offices in the capital city".
