The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission will not intervene in the proposed acquisition of Ansett Holdings Ltd by Air New Zealand Ltd, ACCC Chairman, Professor Allan Fels, said today.
"The ACCC has made extensive market inquiries and does not believe the acquisition would substantially lessen competition", he said.
"The ACCC will continue to monitor developments in the aviation industry".
