As the ACCC will have limited operations during the Christmas and New Year period, we wanted to provide you with details of arrangements over the break.

ACCC offices: Our offices will be closed from 12 noon on Tuesday 24 December 2019 until 8:30am on Thursday 2 January 2020.

Infocentre: The Infocentre will be open on Christmas Eve from 8.30am to 5pm, closed from 25 to 27 December and on New Year’s Day, but it will be open on 30 and 31 December from 8:30am to 5:30pm AEDST. Consumers and small businesses who would like to make a report to the Infocentre are encouraged to use the Infocentre web form.

Media enquiries: For urgent enquiries please call 0408 995 408 (no texts). The team will be back in the office from 2 January 2020.

Product safety: Mandatory reports on product safety injury reports and recall notifications can be made via the Product Safety website.

Merger enquiries: Any queries or information in relation to a merger or acquisition (whether or not the ACCC is presently reviewing it) should be emailed to mergers@accc.gov.au

Notifications and Authorisation applications: Applicants wishing to lodge a notification or application for authorisation should email adjudication@accc.gov.au including a cover letter and details of the lodgement fee payment. Authorisation applications and notifications are not validly lodged until the relevant fee has been paid.

FOI requests: All applications lodged under the Freedom of Information Act (1982) will be assessed when the ACCC office reopens on 2 January 2020.
