On 8 May 2019, NBN Co lodged a proposed variation to its Special Access Undertaking (SAU) with the ACCC. The Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (CCA) allows NBN Co to give the ACCC a variation to an SAU already in operation. The ACCC accepted NBN Co’s current SAU on 13 December 2013, following an extensive consultation process.
On 3 March 2020, the Murray-Darling Basin Authority (MDBA) requested the ACCC provide its advice on the operation of sub-sections 12.02(2) to (4) of the Basin Plan water trading rules (the 12.02 provisions), to inform its review of these provisions as required under the Basin Plan 2012 (Cth). The ACCC provided this advice to the MDBA on 1 June 2020.
In response to a recommendation from the Independent Review of the Water Act 2007 in 2014, the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for the Environment wrote to the ACCC requesting advice on possible amendments to the Water Charge (Infrastructure) Rules 2010, Water Charge (Planning and Management Information) Rules 2010, and Water Charge (Termination Fees) Rules 2009.
On 1 August 2019, Australia Post provided the ACCC with a draft price notification proposing to increase prices of ordinary letters delivered at the regular timetable by 10%.
On 2 March 2018, ARTC lodged a replacement undertaking for the interstate rail network. This undertaking is to replace ARTC's 2008 undertaking, which expires 31 August 2018. The access undertaking covers the terms and conditions of access for parties seeking to run trains on the mainline standard gauge rail track owned or leased by ARTC.
On 22 June 2017, NBN Co formally withdrew its original SAU variation lodged with the ACCC on 27 May 2016. NBN Co simultaneously lodged a new proposed variation to its SAU (revised SAU variation).

Australia Post has provided the ACCC with a draft price notification regarding proposed price increases for letter services. Australia Post is proposing to introduce a basic postage rate of $1 for letters delivered at a new slower timetable, which allows up to an extra three business days for delivery to occur. Postage stamps for letters delivered at the current timetable cost 70 cents. Australia Post’s proposal also includes price increases for the delivery of large letters.
