On 28 December 2020, we published our final report as required under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010.
In 2017, the Australian Government directed the ACCC to conduct a wide-ranging inquiry into the supply of residential building (home), contents and strata insurance in northern Australia. This final report brings together all of our significant analysis and recommendations made throughout the three year inquiry, setting out in detail our analysis of the operation of the markets for home, contents and strata insurance in northern Australia.
