The ACCC is aware of a report that the ACCC has raised preliminary concerns regarding ANZ’s (ASX: ANZ) possible acquisition of MYOB, and that the ACCC will conduct a public review.
The ACCC has not expressed any view on this possible transaction.
If the transaction proceeds, the ACCC will make a decision on whether a public review will be conducted once it has received a submission from the parties.

The ACCC has decided to revoke authorisation AA1000596 and grant authorisation AA1000612 in substitution to enable Albury City Council, Wodonga City Council, Indigo Shire Council, Greater Hume Council, Federation Council, Leeton Shire Council, Berrigan Shire Council and Edward River Council (the Participating Councils) to collectively tender and contract for waste and recycling collection, transport, sorting, and processing services until 30 June 2034.
The ACCC proposes to re-authorise Recycling Victoria and 16 councils in the south eastern metropolitan Melbourne region (the Participating Councils) to conduct a joint competitive tender process to investigate, and potentially procure, the provision of advanced waste processing services (AWP). AWP involves processes to recover alternative resources (such as electricity or fuel) from municipal residual waste.
The ACCC has become aware of a media report that states that Dye & Durham’s (D&D) proposed acquisition of Link Administration Holdings (ASX:LNK) requires approval from the ACCC which it has agreed to provide by 22 September 2022.
