The ACCC has issued a final determination granting authorisation to the City of Greater Geelong, on behalf of itself and Surf Coast Shire Council, Golden Plains Shire Council, Borough of Queenscliffe, Wyndham City Council and Colac Otway Shire (together, the Participating Councils) to engage in collective procurement conduct, and enter into and give effect to service contracts that may be executed as an outcome of that procurement conduct, in respect of the following waste services:
- domestic recyclables and glass recyclables receival and processing, and
- bulk haulage of those materials from the receival site to the processing site.
The ACCC has decided to grant authorisation for 7 years, until 5 January 2031.
