Consumer Affairs Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ) today released an Issues Paper calling for submissions on the Australian Consumer Law Review.

The Issues Paper is seeking views on whether the law is operating as intended, the effectiveness of its enforcement and whether it can flexibly respond to new and emerging consumer issues.

Consumers, businesses, advocacy groups, lawyers and other interested stakeholders are encouraged to make submissions during the eight week public consultation period. Submissions close on Friday 27 May 2016.

General queries about the ACL Review should be directed to ACLReview@treasury.gov.au.

The Issues Paper and information on how to make a submission is available from www.consumerlaw.gov.au.
