The ACCC proposes to grant authorisation with conditions for 4 years to AdBlue manufacturers and other industry participants to collaborate, in conjunction with the Australian Government, for specified purposes related to securing sufficient supply of technical grade urea and prioritising access to technical grade urea and diesel exhaust fluid.

Interim authorisation was granted on 24 November 2022 and will remain in place until the date the ACCC’s final determination comes into effect or until the ACCC decides to revoke interim authorisation.

The ACCC is now seeking submissions in response to the draft determination by 25 September 2023 before making its final determination. Further details about the application and how to make a submission are available on the ACCC’s public register.
