The ACCC proposes to revoke authorisation A91383 and grant authorisation AA1000652 in substitution to enable the Australian Medical Association (NSW) Limited (AMA NSW) to continue to collectively bargain on behalf of visiting medical officers engaged in the NSW public hospital system, with NSW Health and public health organisations.

The ACCC proposes to grant authorisation for a period of 10 years.

The ACCC also granted interim authorisation to enable the AMA NSW to continue engaging in the conduct while the ACCC is considering the substantive application.

The ACCC is now seeking submissions in response to the draft determination by 31 January 2024, before making its final decision. Further details about the application and how to make a submission are available on the ACCC’s public register.
