The ACCC has issued a final determination granting authorisation to enable the Australian Property Institute (API) to continue to enforce certain professional standards and obligations under its Constitution, Code of Professional Conduct and associated policies.

Authorisation is granted for five years, until 16 September 2026.

The ACCC considers that the conduct is likely to result in public benefits in the form of requiring higher industry standards than those required by legislation, and improving consumer protection and building consumer confidence in the market through the enforcement of those standards. The ACCC considers that the conduct is unlikely to result in public detriments.
