The ACCC has issued a final determination granting authorisation to four Perth Councils (the City of Cockburn, City of Fremantle, City of Melville and Town of East Fremantle) to conduct a joint procurement process for the selection of a purchaser for their Materials Recovery Facility, and then jointly negotiating and contracting with the new owner for the provision of recyclable waste processing services. Authorisation has been granted for 21 years.
