Our presenter

Julian is the co-founder of satirical media empire The Chaser and company Giant Dwarf, and has made many TV shows including The Election Chaser, CNNNN and The Chaser’s War on Everything.

Julian notes his extensive experience in consumer affairs ‘as an infuriated consumer placed on hold by many service providers but also as a writer, presenter and Executive Producer of The Checkout’.

The Ruby Hutchison Memorial Lecture is held annually as part of the National Consumer Congress.

The 2021 National Consumer Congress 2021 - Virtual Lecture Series is being held entirely online due to the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19).

The theme of the 2021 National Consumer Congress is How can we rebuild a safer, fairer and more sustainable Australia post pandemic?
