The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) has accepted a court enforceable undertaking from Universal Pharmaceuticals Pty Ltd (Universal Pharmaceuticals) for alleged false or misleading representations made on its Wealthy Health website in contravention of sections 18, 29(1)(a), 29(1)(k) and 33 of the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) in Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) (CCA).
On 4 May 2023, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) granted an exemption under section 56GD of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) to EnergyAustralia Pty Ltd deferring its consumer data sharing obligations for closed accounts held on its “On” and “Ignition” customer management systems until 23 June 2024.
On 4 May 2023, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) granted an exemption under section 56GD of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), to Credit Union Australia Ltd (trading as Great Southern Bank) (GSB) deferring its consumer data sharing obligations for its pilot digital business banking platform until 3 November 2023.
