Description of Conduct
Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (the Institute) lodged an application for revocation and substitution on 11 May 1999. This application seeks revocation of authorisations A234 and A90517. The Institute is seeking a replacement authorisation for its Charter, Bye-Laws, Code of Ethics, Code for Consultants, Reference or Guideline Terms of Engagement and Reference Fee Scales, the VALMIN Code and the JORC Code.
The ACCC's final decision (16 December 2004) was to grant replacement authorisation to the arrangements embodied in the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy's Charter, Codes and By-laws for a period of five years, subject to the fulfilment of a few minor amendments to the By-Laws.
