The ACCC, UK Competition and Markets Authority and German Bundeskartellamt have published an official joint statement about effective merger control. The purpose of the joint statement is to highlight to businesses, advisers, courts and governments that rigorous and effective merger enforcement is essential for competitive economies and is in the interests of consumers.
