Radio was undergoing a 'somewhat quieter revolution' than the rest of the media, but it nevertheless had profound implications for what and how Australians listened to and increasingly when they listened to it. New technology can allow new entrants into markets that have previously been closed due to the limitations of old technology and means more choice for consumers.
