The ACCC has issued a draft determination proposing to grant authorisation to enable Screen Producers Australia (SPA) and its members to collectively negotiate model terms of engagement with the Australian Writers’ Guild (AWG), Media Entertainment and Arts Alliance (MEAA), and the Australian Directors’ Guild (ADG) and the members of these organisations.
The ACCC has granted authorisation to enable Metropolitan Waste and Resource Recovery and a group of thirteen Councils in metropolitan Melbourne to jointly procure organic waste processing services through the South Eastern Organics Group. Authorisation is proposed to run until 10 July 2032.
The ACCC proposes to grant re-authorisation to enable the South Australian Oyster Growers Association (SAOGA) and the South Australian Oyster Research Council (SAORC) to continue to charge a levy on purchases of juvenile oysters (spat) by oyster growers. The ACCC has granted conditional interim authorisation to enable businesses that acquire unprocessed timber logs from the South Australian Forestry Corporation (ForestrySA) to form a collective bargaining group to negotiate the terms and conditions (other than pricing) of supply agreements for logs from the Mount Lofty Reserve in South Australia.
The ACCC has not objected to the notification lodged by the Tasmanian Farmers and Graziers Association (TFGA) to enable itself, members of the TFGA Pyrethrum Committee and current and future Tasmanian pyrethrum growers to collectively negotiate the terms and conditions (including price) for the supply of pyrethrum to Botanical Resources Australia (BRA).
