Mandatory disconnection of remaining premises in the First 31 FSAMs18 May 2016

In May 2014, NBN Co and Telstra, in consultation with the ACCC, agreed to defer the disconnection of premises with disconnection dates between 23 May and 23 October 2014. The deferral provided end users with an additional safeguard from service disruption, while the industry was embedding the disconnection processes.

A small number of these premises still remain connected to Telstra’s network. Telstra, in consultation with NBN Co, has proposed that a final disconnection date of 30 June 2016 should be applied to these premises. Telstra has advised the affected wholesale customers of this approach.
