Replacement Required Measures 5(A), 5(C) and 5(D)10 May 2021

On 20 April 2021, Telstra provided the ACCC with a letter of notice on its proposal to amend Required Measures 5(A), 5(C) and 5(D) in relation to the disconnection and migration of Telstra’s remaining legacy business services in 2022 under the migration plan.

The amendments provide that in 2022 Telstra will disconnect the remaining business service customers connected to the Telstra legacy network (that is, in May 2022 or in August 2022 depending on the service type).

Customers will be required to migrate to alternative services supplied through the NBN or other networks.

Telstra has consulted with its wholesale customers and NBN Co regarding the amendments as required by the migration plan and no objections were raised.

The ACCC considers that the amended Required Measures are consistent with the migration plan principles and doesn't object to the amendments.

Telstra intends to publish the amended required measures on its Wholesale Customer Portal on 12 May 2021 at which time they'll form part of the migration plan.
