As the ACCC will have limited operations during the Christmas and New Year period, we wanted to provide you with details of arrangements over the break.
ACCC offices: Our offices will be closed from 5pm on Friday 21 December 2018 until 8:30am on Tuesday 2 January 2019.
Infocentre: The Infocentre will be open Christmas Eve from 8.30am to 5pm, closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day, but remains open all other weekdays from 8:30am to 5:30pm AEDST. Consumers and small businesses who would like to make a report to the Infocentre are encouraged to use the Infocentre web form.
Media enquiries: For urgent enquiries please call 0408 995 408. The team will be back in the office from 2 January 2019.
Product safety: Mandatory reports on product safety injury reports and recall notifications can be made via the Product Safety website.
Merger enquiries: Any queries or information in relation to a merger or acquisition (whether or not the ACCC is presently reviewing it) should be emailed to mergers@accc.gov.au.
Notifications and Authorisation applications: Applicants wishing to lodge a notification or application for authorisation should email adjudication@accc.gov.au including a cover letter and details of the lodgement fee payment. Authorisation applications and notifications are not validly lodged until the relevant fee has been paid.
FOI requests: All applications to lodge a request under the Freedom of Information Act (1982) will be assessed when the ACCC office reopens on 2 January 2019.
