Discussion paper30 Oct 2007

ACCC issued another discussion paper on 30 October 2007.

Confidentiality arrangements

Telstra provided the ACCC with a public and confidential version of its submission. Telstra stated that it is prepared to provide a confidential version of its submission to parties who execute a confidentiality undertaking in an appropriate form. The confidentiality undertaking is available from Paul McLachlan at paul.mclachlan@team.telstra.com.au

Optus did not made a separate submission. Instead Optus requested the ACCC consider its previous submissions made in response to Telstra's July 2007 exemption applications for the WLR service and LCS. Parties wishing to access this confidential material need to execute a confidentiality undertaking, which is available from Carolyn Yan at carolyn.yan@optus.com.au

AAPT requested that the ACCC consider its previous submissions made in response to Telstra's July 2007 exemption applications.

See Discussion paper 30 August 2007.

Information request

On 17 December 2007, the ACCC made a request for further information under s. 152AU of the Act to Telstra.

On 12 March 2008, the ACCC sent Telstra further correspondence in regard to the 17 December 2007 information request.

On 2 April 2008, Telstra provided the ACCC with a public version of their 14 March 2008 response to the 17 December 2007 information request.

Optus confidentiality undertaking

Optus provided the ACCC with a confidential submission on 27 November 2007. Optus stated that it is prepared to provide this confidential submission to parties who sign a confidential undertaking. Parties wishing to gain access to Optus' confidential submission should execute the confidentiality undertaking and send it to Carolyn Yan of Optus at carolyn.yan@optus.com.au, copied to Sarah Sheppard of the ACCC, at sarah.sheppard@accc.gov.au.

If Optus does not agree to provide an interested party with Optus' confidentiality submission, then that party should advise the ACCC. The ACCC will then act to resolve the dispute.
