ACCC grants interim authorisation to the Recruitment, Consulting & Staffing Association

The ACCC has granted interim authorisation to allow the Recruitment, Consulting & Staffing Association Limited (RCSA) to continue to give effect to RCSA’s previously authorised Professional Conduct Regime.

Interim authorisation commences immediately and protects RCSA from legal action under the relevant provisions of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 while the ACCC assesses RCSA’s application for re-authorisation. The ACCC may review the interim authorisation at any time and its interim authorisation decision should not be taken to be indicative of whether RCSA’s Professional Conduct Regime will be re-authorised.

In 2014, the ACCC granted authorisation to RCSA for five years for its Professional Conduct Regime. This authorisation ends on 6 March 2019. The ACCC is currently considering RCSA’s application for reauthorisation and will make a final determination on the application by mid-July 2019.

Further information about the ACCC’s interim decision and the RCSA’s application for authorisation is available on the ACCC’s authorisation public register.
