Draft notification

Prior to lodgment of the formal price notification, Airservices submitted a draft of its proposal as part of the ACCC’s informal pre-lodgment process for assessing price notifications. This was provided to the ACCC on 9 May 2014.

Airservices Australia 2014

On 10 June 2014 Airservices submitted a formal price notification to the ACCC proposing new charges for en route, terminal navigation and aviation rescue and fire-fighting services, effective from 1 July 2014.

The proposed prices are consistent with those that were outlined in Airservices’ long-term pricing agreement, which was assessed by the ACCC in 2011, and the draft price notification submitted to the ACCC on 9 May 2014.

The ACCC released its decision to not object to Airservices' price notification on 26 June 2014.

Airport prices monitoring & financial reporting guideline

The guideline details the ACCC's information requirements for prices monitoring and financial reporting, including for airport car parking, under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 and the Airports Act 1996.

Airports monitoring

We monitor prices, costs and profits and quality of aeronautical services and car parking at Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney airports in accordance with directions issued by the Assistant Treasurer under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (the Act) and under the provisions of the Airports Act 1996.
