Criminal cartel proceedings commenced against Country Care and its managers

Following an investigation by the ACCC, criminal charges have been laid against The Country Care Group Pty Ltd (Country Care), its Managing Director, Robert Hogan, and a former employee, Cameron Harrison. 

The charges relate to alleged cartel conduct involving assistive technology products used in rehabilitation and aged care, including beds and mattresses, wheelchairs and walking frames. 

Country Care is based in Mildura, Victoria.

The charges are listed for mention before the Magistrates’ Court of Victoria in Mildura on 14 March 2018.

Variation application

On 21 December 2017, ARTC applied to the ACCC to vary its 2011 Hunter Valley Access Undertaking. The variation seeks to change a number of provisions in the undertaking, including:

  • incorporating path based pricing
  • allocating incremental capital costs on the basis of contracted capacity
  • applying a dual ceiling limit.

2017 Infrastructure RKR amendments

The ACCC has amended the Audit of Telecommunications Infrastructure Assets - Record Keeping Rules 2013 (Infrastructure RKR) following a public consultation process. The amendments updates the list of record keepers required to report under the Infrastructure RKR and clarifies the information required to be reported on mobile and fibre to the building infrastructure, and geographic boundaries for customer access networks.
