Dear ACCC, I believe the NBN is not being headed appropriately by the Liberals after they made changes to the original Labor plan. Reasons for this are: - High costs on experimentations on the design which Labor already had sorted. - FTTP is known to be much better than the copper-based FTTN network which will be outdated in several years (big waste of the federal budget). - Price discrimination: users that are running on the downgraded network will be paying the same cost as those running the better models (e.g. HFC NBN) from earlier dates. - Inability for current small businesses to compete with larger ones due to the poor speed and reliability associated with copper networks. - NBNCo is paying Telstra a large sum of money to construct the new network. This conflicts with ACCC values. Hence, the NBN plan should be reviewed and I appreciate that you, the ACCC, have given Australian citizens a voice in this matter which we otherwise would not have. Yours sincerely, An disappointed Australian at the NBN
