2008 promises to be another fascinating year for the telecommunications sector. A major new policy, along with flourishing investment in 3G, DSLAMs and other broadband technologies, suggests little slowing down in what has already been a rapidly changing environment. In all this activity, the ACCC's interest is not to protect individual competitors or outdated technologies, but to promote the competitive process for the long-term interests of end-users.
