SBAS Final Access Determination inquiry 2021

Project overview

On 19 July 2021, the ACCC commenced a public inquiry to make a final access determination (FAD) for the superfast broadband access service (SBAS) following its decision to declare the service.

The SBAS FAD inquiry will consider the price and non-price terms and conditions of access to the service.

The ACCC also issued an interim access determination (IAD) for the SBAS which applies until a FAD is made and maintains current regulated price and non-price terms.

On 4 November 2021 the ACCC published a discussion paper calling for submissions by 10 December 2021. On the same day the ACCC also published notice of extension of the inquiry until 19 July 2022.
