The ACCC has developed a proposed framework for the consistent reporting of reserves and resources information in order to progress recommendations made jointly with the Gas Market Reform Group (GMRG) to the Council of Australian Governments (COAG) Energy Council in December 2018, in a report entitled Measures to improve the transparency of the gas market.
The ACCC and GMRG recommended that producers (including explorers) be required to report information on their reserves and resources to the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) for publication on the Bulletin Board, using the reporting framework being developed by the ACCC.
Interested stakeholders are invited to submit their views on the ACCC’s proposed reporting framework, presented in Consultation Paper below.
To make a submission, please email firstname.lastname@example.org by COB 12 March 2019. Submissions should be made in electronic, text-searchable format.
All submissions will be published on the ACCC’s website unless stakeholders have clearly indicated a submission is commercial-in-confidence. Stakeholders wishing to submit commercial-in-confidence material should provide both a public version and commercial-in-confidence version of their submission. The public version should clearly identify the commercial-in-confidence material by replacing the confidential material with ‘[c-i-c]’.
