Independent audit of NBN policy process12 Nov 2014
In March 2014, the Australian Government announced an independent audit of the policy process that led to the NBN from April 2008 to May 2010. The audit, among other things, examined the ACCC 's role in advising the Government's Panel of Experts on NBN proposals. In July 2014, the independent audit delivered its report to the Minister for Communications.
In November 2014, the ACCC responded to a letter from Mr Ian Martin regarding the audit's findings in relation to the ACCC's role. Mr Ian Martin's letter and the ACCC's response are provided below.
