Report Description
ACCC telecommunications report We're required to provide a report on telecommunications to the minister each year.
Airport monitoring reports The results of our monitoring of prices, financial performance and quality of service at Australian airports.
Assessing cross-subsidy in Australia Post We have a role under the Australian Postal Corporation Act 1989. This is to assess whether Australia Post is cross-subsidising its non-reserved services with revenues from its reserved services.
Container stevedoring monitoring report Through a direction from the federal Treasurer, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission, under Part VIIA of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010, monitors the prices, costs and profits of container terminal operator companies at the ports of Adelaide, Brisbane, Burnie, Fremantle, Melbourne and Sydney.
Private health insurance reports We're required to provide the senate with a report each year on any anti-competitive practices by health insurers or providers, which reduce the extent of health cover for consumers and increase their out-of-pocket medical and other expenses.
State of the energy market reports The Australian Energy Regulator (AER) provides an overview of Australia's electricity and gas markets in an annual State of the energy market report.

Events and engagement activities

Event Description
Annual ACCC/AER Regulatory Conference Held every July, this conference brings together industry participants, policy makers, academics, and regulators from around the world to hear and discuss the latest ideas about the theory and practice of regulation.
Engagement activity Description
Infrastructure Consultative Committee We meet with representatives from the energy, telecommunication, water, rail, port and airport sectors twice a year to examine broad issues of infrastructure and infrastructure regulation.
Utility Regulators Forum We are part of a group of New Zealand, Commonwealth, state and territory based regulators that come together biannually to exchange information and discuss common challenges.
Council of Financial Regulators Although not a member of the Council of Financial Regulators, we have been invited to participate on issues relating to contestability and competitiveness in financial regulation and stability of the Australian financial system.
